1 |
| Arrive at the base station, you will be shown around the base station and to your caravan,get familiar with your caravan, explore our farm and pet-zoo, hire riding-horses for a hack into the Slieve-Bloom…. In the evening we will discuss the routes according to your interests. You will spend the first night in the base station. |
| Day
2 |
Training session on catching and harnessing your horse and general care of your horse. You will then be introduced to your horse and you will catch and harness your own horse under supervision. You will leave the base and head for your first stop: Roundwood House via the village of Camross, where you can visit Poet’s Cottage. Travel along the bottom of the Slieve-Bloom-Mountains and stop for a picnic at a beautiful picnic-area beside a small river and go for a walk up the mountains into the woodlands. Roundwood House B&B is a restored Georgian Farmhouse where you can finish your day with an excellent dinner. We guarantee you will sleep tonight! |

3 |
| Leave Roundwood House for Castletown, located at the banks of the River Nore, the right place for fishing. Also visit Gash Gardens, well known for its water features. If you are interested in golfing, there is a Golf Club neareby. For the night go to Castletown Inn for a pint of Guinness. |

4 |
| Leave Castletown and travel to (Blackhills) Abbeyleix. Abbeyleix is one of Ireland’s prettiest towns, featuring interesting architecture, mature plantings and five carefully restored fountains. You can visit the Heritage House (Museum about the history of County Laois), Sexton’s Cottage or the Abbey Sense Garden. There is also a Golf Club beside. Not far away from Abbeyleix is Ballinakill where you find another beautiful Garden (Heywood Gardens) and an Open Air Swimming Pool. Stradbally and Vicarstown are easy to reach as well (Steam Museum and Steam Train, Paintballing: hire of Barge or Boat). For the night you can visit the famous Morrissey’s Pub - one of the oldest in whole ireland - or any other, there are loads to choose from - also with traditional Irish music. |

5 |
| Leave Abbeyleix for Farran, a self-catering Farm, close to Ballacolla and Clogh. In both villages are nice pubs with traditional music. If you feel like some shopping then head for Rathdowney Designer Outlet which also has a childs adventure play area. Rathdowney also has some nice places to eat including the well known Tuohy’s Pub with music sessions. |

| Leave Farran for Borris-in-Ossory (Monteenalassa). On your way you pass Aghaboe Abbey (6th Century). On your way and beside your Stop-over-station you will find many possibilities for walking and fishing. For a good night you can eat out in Borris-in-Ossory. |

| On your last day you will travel back to your base where you spend your last night. |
